The story behind Innergiving is deeply rooted in one man’s lifelong journey of discovery, self-awareness, healing, and transformation.
From a young age, he learned to mask his fears, suppress his emotions, and avoid vulnerability—patterns shaped by childhood trauma, including a pivotal incident at the age of five. As he grew older, he built a life defined by external pursuits, perfectionism, professional ambition and validation from others, excelling in a demanding career while unknowingly remaining disconnected from his true self. For decades, he cycled through denial, anger, bargaining, and nervous system triggers, carrying the weight of unhealed wounds.
At 54, everything changed. A heart disease diagnosis and triple bypass surgery forced him to confront his mortality and the emotional burdens he had long ignored. Isn't that we are taught to do, stuff it down and carry on. It was a wake-up call—one that set him on a path of deep inner work, mindfulness, and self-awareness. He immersed himself in practices like meditation, therapy, somatic practices, yoga, and more, tending to the wounded layers and rediscovering his authentic self.
Through this process, he recognized a profound truth: countless people suffer in silence, disconnected from their inner selves, trapped in cycles of fear and avoidance. He saw how healing, when approached with self-awareness and vulnerability, could transform suffering into purpose. He also became passionate about youth mental health, understanding that many lifelong struggles stem from unaddressed childhood wounds.
This realization gave birth to Innergiving—a trust-based platform designed to reimagine philanthropy as more than just financial giving. He envisioned a model where donors not only support meaningful causes but also receive something valuable in return: mental health resources, connection, and opportunities for inner growth. By fostering a reciprocal cycle of giving and receiving, Innergiving became an expression of his deepest desires—authenticity, freedom, love (self and others), and to be seen and heard (learning to love himself).
At its core, Innergiving is his way of ensuring that others don’t have to wait decades or face a life-threatening event to begin their journey toward healing and self-discovery. It is a reflection of his transformation and a testament to the power of generosity—not just as a gift to others, but as a path back to oneself.
Ultimately, it is a choice, but one that can only be made with awareness and a huge dose of courage.
Wisdom offered--You are here to live your most authentic life, take the inner journey to identify what holds you back and change your story. The shadows are what we fear most. Don't wait for the life changing event, accept the invitation now.
Again, it comes down to a conscious choice, and one that is typically about love or fear. Choose the authentic you, choose love.
